The Elos da Amazônia 2025 Call – Industrial Challenge Edition: Tape Waste, developed to serve a reference international industry in the manufacture of industrial tapes, seeks an open innovation solution to identify, select, and support the best technological and/or business solutions to improve the

The call offers an opportunity for researchers and entrepreneurs to present an innovative technology, and also be recognized for it, receiving support to implement it to meet the demand of the investing industry located in the Manaus Industrial Pole. This is a public call, carried out by the Institute for Conservation and Sustainable Development of the Amazon (Idesam) and the Priority Bioeconomy Program (PPBio).

Who can participate?

ICTs accredited by CAPDA or Startups constituted as a business entity.

The company’s headquarters or branch must be mandatorily located in the states of Western Amazonia (Acre, Amazonas, Rondônia, and Roraima) or in the state of Amapá and present 2 (two) of the characteristics specified in the public notice.

*The funding comes from SUFRAMA’s IT law, which operates in Western Amazonia (RR, RO, AM, AC) and Amapá. Therefore, some of our actions do not cover the entire Legal Amazon.

40 Tons per month

4 large dumpsters of industrial waste, consisting of a mix of cardboard tubes and adhesive tapes (with paper, fabric, and plastic backing);

24 tons per month

3 large dumpsters of common, recyclable material (paper, plastic, etc.);

Award

The proposal selected by the call will receive R$ 700,000.00 (seven hundred thousand reais) via the Priority Bioeconomy Program for the implementation of the solution and fully or partially meeting the demand of the investing industry.
