The Indigenous Scientific Entrepreneurship Call has the mission to recognize indigenous entrepreneurs with innovative and disruptive technologies based on Amazonian biodiversity.
Technologies can be presented in process or product format that have market application, starting from the prototype level. Proposals must be economically viable, environmentally balanced, and socially inclusive.
The call offers indigenous entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their innovative technologies, receive recognition and support to prepare their solutions for the market. This edition is carried out by the Institute for Technological Development (INDT), Idesam, and the Priority Bioeconomy Program (PPBio).
Startups constituted as business entities where at least one of the partners is a self-declared indigenous person can apply. The company’s headquarters must be mandatorily located in the states of Western Amazonia (Acre, Amazonas, Rondônia, and Roraima) or in the state of Amapá, to comply with SUFRAMA’s IT Law guidelines.

The selection process involves an initial screening to verify compliance with the public notice criteria. The qualified proposals advance to a presentation phase (pitch) for an evaluation panel composed of specialists, who perform the final judgment for the selection of the winning solutions for each chain.
